| Courtesy of Amazingmoms.com Hands and Feet Reindeer Craft You'll Need: Large plastic eyes Large red pom-poms (glitter pom-poms are a fun addition!) Brown construction paper, craft foam or cardstock paper Lighter brown or tan paper for the ears (optional) Construction paper in any color; optional if you would like to glue the reindeer onto another piece of paper. How to Make It: First, with one shade of brown, cut the antlers and reindeer, using your child's handprint and shoeprint as a pattern. Then, cut the ears with the other brown. We used a lighter shade of brown to add yet another layer to the ears but that's not necessary. Glue the antlers together at a slight angle. Then add the ears and glue the head on last. Glue the eyes and nose the the head and add a smile with a marker. Candy Cane Mouse Christmas Craft You'll Need: Two colors of Felt Wrapped 6 inch candy cane Plastic Wiggle eyes Small Pom-Pom for the nose 1. Cut the body and ear piece. 2. Cut two slits at the tip where the ears will go. 3. Insert the ear piece into the slits. 4. Glue on eyes and nose. 5. Insert the candy cane on the backside of the mouse, through the ears. Christmas Jingle Bell Door Hanger You'll need Metal Jingle Bells (15-20 mm) heavy gauge wire wire cutters, pliers curling ribbon 1 inch metal rings (key ring) How to make it... First you'll need to establish how long you want your door hangers to be when finished (ours are about 10 inches). Add two inches to that length and cut the piece of wire. Using pliers, wrap one end of the wire around the key ring or metal loop one or two times, this will be used for hanging. String the jingle bells onto the wire leaving enough at the end to form a secure loop. Attach several pieces of ribbon to the bottom loop and curl Now it's ready to hang from your door! Craft Spoon Christmas Tree You'll Need Wooden craft spoons; the spoons that come with ice cream cups. Acrylic paint Fabric paint tubes Paint brushes Yellow fun foam or felt Craft glue Scissors Pin backs or ribbon Step 1. Paint five wooden spoons with green acrylic paint. It will take just a few minutes of drying time before handling. Children can do the next step while waiting. Step 2. Cut the star from the fun foam or felt. I prefer fun foam. It's easier for kids to cut & glue. Step 3. Glue the craft sticks in a fan shape to make the tree. Step 3. Make dots with the paint tubes, for the decorations. Step 4 .For an ornament or gift tag; glue a ribbon loop to the back. To make a pin, attach a pin back. Pin backs can be found plain or with self adhesive strips already attached. |
